Not sure where to begin with this one but I’ll try and run through some highlights. First off, NYC Downlow is my new favourite club in the world. Mike Serafini killed it and celebrating 10 years of Downlow with Luke from Horse Meat Disco playing Love Is In The Air on the Sunday was one of the most amazing final track moments ever.
The whole festival gets more inspiring and life changing every time I go. Trekking around in Celtic shirts (see above), playing b2b with Jack at Lovebullets after Boy Better Know on Sunday (shout out to the fella with the Barry flag), playing Arcadia, bumping into Sienna Miller, Boy George and David Beckham down the Rabbit Hole. Special mention goes to Norman Nodge at Genosys in Block 9 too, that set really stood out.
Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was all the crowd surfing at the Downlow but this was without a doubt the best Glastonbury ever.
Let me recover and I’ll pick out some tunes that went off over the weekend. For now, just keep playing this. Loud. 👊
It’s here! It’s been great hearing this get played out so far this summer so excited to see the wax up for sale. Keep On on the front then Antonio’s Keys on the flip. Copies are moving fast apparently. Thanks to the fam at Rubadub who called it a “dance floor weapon for a peak time.”
Met another hero of mine at Parklife! I was well scared but after seeing another kid go up to him, I plucked up the courage! Long live Kenny Dixon Jr! Here’s four of my favourites for you to listen to. I pray that one day I’m nearly as smooth as him.
